Natural sunflower oil has a mild, nutty taste and a soft yellow hue. It is widely used for making mayonnaise and sauces, as well as cooking meat and vegetables (at moderate temperatures). Sunflower oil is excellent with fruity and rich vinegars for salad dressing and marinating vegetables. Cold pressing is used to extract the oil from ripe sunflower seeds that are grown in Austria. It has a high content of vitamin E (approx. 60 mg per 100 grams of oil) and a long shelf life. As little as 20 g of sunflower oil gives you your daily requirement of vitamin E.
